Explore over 30 Indian Monuments through Google Maps Street View

Google in association with Archeological Survey of India (ASI) has photographed several heritage monuments of India through its special photographing apparatus to create a 360 degree virtual tour of over 30 monuments of India. This will offer the users of Google Maps a special experience. India Travel will surely get a boost as the clients now can explore the monuments beforehand and select the ones that suits them the most.

“This above partnership with Google would make it possible for billions to see and explore India’s heritage, to take a walk at the Rock Cut Jain Temple, to marvel at the Nagarjuna Konda Buddhist Stupas and to relive history at the Fatehpur Sikri. With the release of these new images, we aim to create an immersive online experience,” said Minister of Culture Chandresh Kumari Katoch.

Many other monuments like Agra Fort, Red Fort, Humayun’s tomb etc have been mapped and photographed by Google. A video of Taj Mahal is given below.
