One of the famous attractions of Udaipur, Bagore Ki Haveli is an ancient building that stands on the platform of Gangori Ghat in the vicinity of Pichola Lake. The splendid architecture of the mansion boasts of delicate carved work and excellent glass work. In the eighteenth century, Bagore Ki Haveli was built by Amir Chand Badwa.

Shri Amarchand Badwa, built the Haveli. Following the death of Amarchand Badwa, the haveli came under the possession of Mewar royal family and became the abode of Nath Singh, a relative of the then Maharana.

Then Maharaj Shakti Singh of Bagore further extended the haveli by building the triple-arched gateway and since then it is known as Bagore ki Haveli. Till 1947, the haveli remained in the possession of Mewar state.

Any art lover would love to explore the haveli for its splendid architecture and skillful craftsmanship. Reflecting the Mewar’s aristocratic culture, the haveli is a marvellous assortment of huge courtyards, balconies, jharokhas, decorative archways, cupolas and a fountain.

The main attraction of this haveli is the Dharohar Dance Show that is conducted in the evenings starting around 7 pm. This hour long show takes place in the courtyard called as the Neem Chowk. The beautifully lit up balconies of the Neem chowk add charm to the Haveli setting up a stage for the traditional Rajasthani folk dance and music.
