On arrival at Delhi International Airport receive a warm welcome from our representative who will help you with transfers and smooth hotel check in. Early morning, check out from hotel and proceed to Delhi Airport for your flight to Guwahati.
Arrive Guwahati, meet our representative and proceed to Nameri National Park. (220km, 4 to 5 hours by car)
En-route we shall visit the most important Hindu pilgrim site and a major religious landmark of the city – Kamakhya Temple build in reverence of Goddess Kamakhya or Sati one of the various incarnations of Goddess Durga or Goddess Shakti.
Later, continue your drive to Nameri.
Nameri national park is famous for its elephants and other animals including tigers, leopards, gaurs, wild pigs, sambars, etc. and also for being a bird watchers paradise. The rich fauna of the place, the lush and evergreen flora too, tends to enchant the visitors.
Arrive, check in at your hotel and have rest of the time at leisure.
Evening we shall take a walk by the side of Jia Bhareli River looking White winged Duck, Eagles, Kingfisher, Ibisbill, Plover, tern, Herons.
Overnight at Nameri.
Go for an early morning nature walk into the wildlife reserve – an experience that is sure to leave you thrilled. Witness the amazing avifaunal diversity of Nameri, and if lucky, you might even catch glimpses of large mammals such as bison, elephants, tigers, leopards, and deers.
After the walk, post breakfast, check out from hotel and drive to Ziro. (280km, 6 hours drive)
Enroute visit Nyshi Tribal Village.
Later, continue your drive to Ziro.
Later set for a drive Ziro is known as the Sequestered Paradise of the state locate at 1500 meters. Ziro has hills that are beautifully covered with bamboo and pine trees, surrounded with paddy fields. The town is home to a very friendly tribal group known as the Apatani tribe. A unique fact about the Apatani tribe is that, women of this tribe used to practice a custom of getting facial tattoos!! This was done since they believed that women of the Apatani tribe were so beautiful that they had to tattoo their faces in order to not let men from other tribes steal them away!
Arrive, check in and have rest of the time at leisure.
Overnight at Ziro.
After breakfast, proceed to visit the Apatani Tribal Village.
To know more about the inhabitants we shall spend the day visiting Apatani villages as Hong, Dutta & Hari. In these villages, we shall see the houses of Apatani adjoining each other also interact with the locals and especially with the tattooed elder who still leave a very much traditional life. Later visit the Apatani farms. We shall also visit the local market. Later visit to the local market can be informative about knowing more about Apatani culture, customs, eating habits, attires and ornaments.
Return to hotel and have rest of the time at leisure.

After breakfast, check out from hotel and proceed to Majuli.
Drive till Jorhat from here you will have to take a ferry to Majuli Island.
Majuli is located on the river Brahmaputra in Assam and is formed by Brahmaputra in the south and the Kherkutia Xuti joined by the river Subansiri in the north. Making you feel at peace with nature, it is home to many migratory birds. Located 1100 km away from the mouth of the Brahmaputra, Majuli had an area of 1256 sq km in 1991 but due to soil erosion, it has now reduced to 875 sq km. Majuli has been the cultural capital of the Assamese civilization since the 16th century and its main village, Naghmar, hosts all the important events, festivals and prayers. A good learning center for neo-Vaishnavite philosophy, there are 22 Vaishnava Satras in the city, the first of which was established in the 15th century by Sankaradeva, the father of Assamese culture.

Overnight at Majuli.
After breakfast, check out from hotel and proceed for sightseeing.
Explore the island by visiting the Anuati sattras (monasteries) & Uttar – Kamalabari sattras (monasteries). Interact with the monks and visit monk’s quarter. We shall also visit Mishing tribal village a major inhabitant of the island followed by a visit to pottery making village and mask making village.
Later take a ferry from Majuli to Jorhat and drive to Kaziranga.
Later cross the Brahmaputra River and drive to Kaziranga National Park – an UNESCO World Heritage Site and the home of the World famed "One Horned Rhino".
On arrival, check in to hotel, leisure and overnight at hotel.

Early morning, proceed for a jeep safari.
Morning we will go for a jeep safari in the western range of the park - The western zone is the most preferred tourism zone in Kaziranga for the jeep safari as the landscape of this zone provides the opportunity to get the very close sight of the one-horned Rhino.
Back to the hotel and enjoy the breakfast. Rest of the day at leisure.

Early morning we will explore the park on Elephant back - Elephant ride is the best way to behold the vigour and charm of the enchanting wildlife of the park.
Midmorning visit Kaziranga Orchid Center.
Afternoon we will go for a jeep safari in the Eastern range of the park

Overnight at Kaziranga
After breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Cherapunjee. (Approx distance - 301 Km, 6 to 7 hours drive)
Cherrapunji currently the historical name Sohra is more commonly used, it is credited as being once the wettest place on Earth. Though, it still holds the world record for the most rainfall in a calendar month and in a year. It received 9,300 mm (366 in) in July 1861 and 26,461 mm (1,041.75 in) between 1 August 1860 and 31 July 1861.It is the traditional capital of a hima (Khasi tribal chieftainship constituting a petty state) known as Sohra or Churra.

Overnight at Cherapunjee
After an early breakfast, we move towards the starting point of the Double Decker Bridge trek, located in Nongriate village. We will then proceed towards Double Decker Bridge one of the most unique bridges in the world built by the ancient tribes of Khasi hills. Enjoy a nice shower in the pools with pristine blue water. Also get the opportunity to cross the Hanging bridge.
Double Decker Route Bridge: To witness the Double Decker root bridges in Cherrapunjee one needs to trek maximum 4 -5 hrs. This trek are on uneven routes where one needs to climb/descend some 4000 odd number steps and suggestible for people with good health only. Local guide for this trek is mandatory. Trek is closed on Sunday.
Located in the thick tropical forest of Meghalaya, cloaked with rain during most part of the year are the fantastic man-made cum natural wonders of the living root bridges. Created by the people of the Khasi tribe, these roots grow from the ancient rubber trees, seen only in the northeast region. These roots are trained by the Khasis to grow in such a manner as be in the form of bridges on the top of a river. These bridges are an amazing alternative to wooden bridges that dwindle with so much rain falling on them.

After breakfast, proceed for the sightseeing of the city with your guide.
Visit Seven Sisters Waterfalls - it has seven different waterfalls that are strategically arranged side by side on a high, rugged cliff, and looks very significant even from a distance.
Visit Nahkhalikai Falls - Plunging from a height of 1115 feet amidst evergreen rainforests is one of the finest examples of nature’s splendour. The waterfall, which is famed for being the world’s fourth-tallest plunge waterfall.
Visit Mawsmai Cave: Meghalaya is home to some amazing and mysterious cave systems and Mawsmai Cave is by far the most popular of the lot. Located just 6 km away from the heart of Cherrapunjee Mawsmai cave is a breathtaking maze of caves in the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya. The well lit caves are a view to behold when the glistening lights meet with the limestone to create countless hues and patterns of light.
