DAY 1 - 2: NEW DELHI
Welcome to India. Our tour manager will receive you at Airport and will escort you to your hotel in a AC car. Delhi, the capital city of India, was planned by Edwin Lutyens, the 20th century British architect, and is a curious blend of the old and the new. Overcome Jetlag and Relax. Visit Old Delhi city - Visit Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India., the massive Red Fort, Chandni Chowk and Raj Ghat - the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi. Qutub Minar - a 72 meter high monument, and Humayun’s Tomb built in mid 16th century. Eveing at leisure
Day 3-4 Jaipur
Travel from New Delhi to Jaipur, a comfortable 2/3 hr journey. Go for a sightseeing tour to Amber Fort located at a distance of 11 kilometers from Jaipur, ‘The City Palace’ which has been converted into a museum containing rare manuscripts, Jantar Mantar the astronomical observatory built by Jai Singh and drive past Hawa Mahal – the palace of winds, its five-storey façade decked with no less than 593 finely screened windows and balconies. Conclude with visit to Albert Hall Museum Evening: Visit to Chokidhani, a typical Rajasthani village and catch the flavor of folksy dances from the happy-go-lucky locals. Wind up the day fine dining over a Rajasthani dinner
Day 5 Samode
Travel to Samode Village ( 42 km from Jaipur, a comfortable hour journey ). Stay in the Magnificent and luxurious Samode Palace ( rated amongst top 5 hotels by Times London) Go on a Village tour on a Camel Safari and explore the colourful Rajasthani Culture and enigmatic village life Enjoy the Rajasthan Folk Dance and Music
Day 6-7 Bharatpur / Agra
After a sumptuous Indian breakfast, savour the street-side scenery on a drive from Samode to Bharatpur in an AC car, and on arrival at Bharatpur, check in to a luxurious hotel, take a relaxing break, and break for lunch. Post-lunch we see Fatehpur Sikri which literally means “The City of Victory”. The following day, visit the world famous monument of love, the Taj Mahal , built by Mughal ruler Shah Jahan in loving memory of his beloved consort Mumtaz, Agra Fort, where Shah Jahan spent the last days of his life watching the Taj Mahal. Also visit the mausoleum, Itmad-ud-daulah, which resembles a silver jewel box
Day 8 New Delhi
Relax in the morning and travel from Agra to New delhi. Drive past India Gate, the Rashtrapati Bhavan (the official residence of the President of India), Safdarjung’s Tomb & the Indian Parliament
