Bandhavgarh national park is spread across an area of 480 Sq Km and has the highest density of tigers in the world. This national park poses the tourist almost 98 per cent probability of spotting a tiger in the wild. Other animals include wild boars, wild dogs, leopards, Deers etc and numerous species of birds. The best way to explore the park is through an open jeep safari which takes place every morning and evening and elephant safari. The park has 32 tigers, according to 2009 census. From Jan 2010 the restrictions have been introduced in Bandhavgarh wherein the tourists are limited access to routes within the national park and also the number of vehicles has been restricted. So book in advance! Approach: With 195 Km from Jabalpur and 210 Km from Khajuraho it is well connected by road.
